Vision On
Vision On is a leading, Award winning consultancy specialising in retail skills and service development. Over the last four years we have worked continuously and successfully with small, hard to reach, retail and other local high street businesses in the Thames Gateway London area. To achieve, Vision On takes a Town Centre approach –we have developed a unique ‘real’ and inclusive approach to engaging people and retaining their involvement. We add value to courses by this focus on flexibility, partner working and sharing. The results are impressive.
The programme takes a Town Centre approach and achieves the following:
- Access to Accredited Training and career pathways within the local retail sector. 12-week Fast-track programme leading to Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service qualification and Visual Merchandising skills.
- Strengthens the local retail independent retail sector. We combine off-site workshops and 1:1 in-store coaching to provide a ‘practical and real’ toolkit that puts businesses onto a sound operational footing.
- Develops the capacity of small businesses through key retail customer service and visual merchandising principles e.g. expanding customer profiles, maximising sales from existing customer base.
- Delivers lasting improvements throughout the whole of the town centre. Develops business commitment to the town centre – a profitable place to trade, improving how the centre looks, feels and functions and trades e.g. visual merchandising skills improving look of store inside and outside.
- Making retail sustainable - the programme gives ambition, confidence – including financial confidence – we have examples of businesses investing in both themselves and their businesses.
- Embracing environmental good practice – introduced projects e.g. Display prop recycling & sharing, ‘buddy scheme’ for stock and supply ordering.
- Develops integrated town centres (include restaurants, cafes, pubs, hairdressers etc) e.g. where retailers/businesses talk to each other and collaborate to improve the town centre experience. e.g. We have recently set up a retail association in Barking Town Centre.
